"Digital Palaeography and Documentary Hands in D-scribes Project", 12th Int. Congress of Coptic Studies, Brussels
The poster will present the state of research of D-scribes project which aims to develop and apply state-of-the-art methods in Handwriting Analysis to Greek and Coptic papyri. The goals are to be able to join fragments, identify similar hands and classify handwriting styles. Coptic documentary papyri are present in two of the three case studies of the project: the archive of Dioscorus of Aphrodito (mainly from the 6th c.) and the archive of Papas, pagarch of Edfu (end of 7th c.).
